Unto Us: The Gift of Joy (Matthew 2:1-12)

“Joy to the World” isn’t seasonal sentiment; it’s a summons. Joy isn’t found in better circumstances but in a Person. Jesus didn’t come to bring joy - He came to be our joy, anchoring us to Emmanuel in every season, even the dark ones. The Magi listened and moved toward the light. Herod listened too, but refused to make room. The issue was never a lack of evidence; it was love of control. Christmas is God’s gracious interruption of that illusion. So we prepare Him room by seeking Him intentionally, rejoicing in Him constantly, and worshiping Him generously. When the Magi fell down and worshiped, their joy became a witness. Ours does too. Let every heart prepare Him room, because in His presence there is fullness of joy, now and forever.
