Risen Kids

Partnering with parents to raise up a generation in Christ

Risen Kids focuses on providing a loving, welcoming, and safe environment for kids, where they can feel like they belong, they matter, and they are loved by their Creator who has a plan and purpose for their life. Whether it’s loving care in nursery, fun crafts in preschool, or awesome games in elementary, we are excited to have your child join us in our next weekly service.

What we do.

Through worship and a variety of fun activities, children are taught Biblical truths in a creative way so that God’s love and His Word leave a lasting imprint on their hearts while starting them on the road to following Him. Our goal is to come alongside parents, equip them to lead and shepherd their children well, and prepare to send them out into the world in Jesus’ name!

What we believe.

At Risen Church, we firmly believe Proverbs 22:6, where it says,  “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.”   We want to partner with you to help you do just that!

What to Expect.

On your first visit, we need the following personal information: parent/legal guardian names, children’s names and birthdates, address, phone number, and any special information (allergies, special needs) for each child. This information is entered into our Children’s Ministry database to help maintain our secure check-in system. At check-in, you will be given a security tag that you will turn in upon checkout, when you pick up your child.

Who can be a part of Risen Kids?

Children 3 months of age to 3rd grade will be provided a safe and nurturing, age-appropriate classroom led by fully-approved kid’s volunteers.

What does a Sunday look like?

As kids walk into the room, they are engaging with the lesson through opening activities. From there, the kids continue to learn through Bible stories, crafts, games, scripture memory, and conversation with teachers. Preschool and elementary aged children have a lesson and worship time where they sing, hear from their teacher, and opportunity to share prayer requests. After they have an allergy-safe snack and wrap up in time for parent pick up.

How can I prepare for my first Sunday?

As you enter the Kids area, you will be greeted by a team member who will assist in checking your child in. They will help you fill out the information form and print you a security tag, which is your pick-up ticket. They will walk you through the kid’s space, drop your children at their classroom, and then direct you upstairs to the worship gathering.

How do we keep kids safe?

Every team member of Risen Kids has filled out an application, has been background-checked, and participates in an on-going training process. Security team members and Kids ministry leaders ensure all the safety policies and procedures are being followed.
